“Actually, I don’t understand why many Mexicans choose hatred and bullying to get closer to the athletes who represent them. In the end, they should be proud that there are people who carry their colors around the world, but it’s not like that,” said boxer for the magazine GQ México.
Like every public figure, the Mexican boxer has obtained teasing and mistreatment throughout his career, and even he is the current world champion of Super WBA, WBC, IBF and The Ring of the middleweight, it is very difficult to keep fans happy.
He could be one of the highest paid boxers in the world but even so, he is not only speaking for him, but for all his fellow athletes. He would like to have a better relationship with his Mexican fans.
