ERROL SPENCE JR. VS SHAWN PORTER: UNIFICATION OF TITLES

The fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter was announced by the WBC Twitter account. Spence comes from defeat the champion in four weight categories, Mikey García. And Porter defeated Danny García capturing the green and gold belt.

Staples Center, Los Angeles California will be the place this September 28. “It’s something I’ve been asking for a long time,” Spence said. I’m fighting with a great champion, a guy who is going to come ready.”

Since Spence has knocked out 84 percent of his opponents, Porter answered: “You know what? I’m not surprised to hear him say he wants to knock me out,” Porter said Tuesday on a conference call. “He’s even said, ‘I’m going to knock you out.’ I’m not surprised to hear him say that because I know his mentality. I know who he is as a person. He’s very, very driven and competitive, and I get that. The part about it for me is he may be trying to psych himself [up], into thinking he can do it.”

Spence from Long Island, New York with 29 years old, has 25 wins without losses and 21 knockouts, will face Porter from Akron, Ohio with 31 years old and with 30 winnings and 2 losses, will test Porter’s second defense

“So, when it comes to Errol Spence, I don’t look at his power any different than anyone else I’ve been in the ring with. And I’m gonna go at him like I’ve gone at Keith Thurman, like I’ve gone at Danny Garcia, like I’ve gone at Yordenis Ugas, Devon Alexander. You know, the list goes on from there.” Commented Porter

“It starts off with beating Shawn and, hopefully, we have other big fights after that. But it starts September 28 with Shawn Porter and taking that WBC belt from him.” Said Spence.
