Golden Boy vs Golovkin ?

The return of the ‘Golden Boy’ is imminent and he would seek a fight against ‘GGG’ (40-1-1, 35 KOs) or some other champion.

“I’m 90 percent positive that I’m coming back the first quarter of next year,” the 47-year-old De La Hoya revealed to DAZN News in a recent interview.

“The 10 percent is based on how Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. look in their upcoming fight,” he said, “we’re almost the same age, although I’m younger, our bodies have been through the same strain with workouts and training.”

“How is Tyson’s body going to react?” he continued, “i want to see what transpires, how the fight unfolds, and we’ll take it from there, but once I’m 100 percent sure you are going to be very surprised by who I want to fight.”

“You know how easy GGG would be for me? Oh, my gosh,” De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com, “It would be a high-profile fight, that’s for sure”, said Golden Boy to BoxingScene.

“Right now I came down to 170 (pounds),” De La Hoya said, “so I still am not sure if I can make 154, i’m sure I can make 160 comfortably.”

We can only wait, what happens in the Tyson vs Jones Jr  fight to see what decision Oscar de La Hoya will make, facing his next fight.
