Today, celebrates one more year of life one of the considered boxers who made history in boxing.

We speak of Julio Cesar Chavez the Mexican champion who for many boxers is his source of inspiration, that is why in Cleto Reyes we present you a Top 3 his most legendary fights of this historical champion. He retired with a record of 107 victories and 6 defeats.

 

Number 3) Oscar de la Hoya 2

We started this top with a fight that Julio Cesar did NOT win but that was undoubtedly one of the strongest and pairs that the champion had concluded in the 8th round due to an aggressive exchange of blows and that Julio could not get up from his corner.

Number 2) Frankie Randall

The fight that defeated the champion of the ring would be nothing more and nothing less than the one that gave him his first defeat as a professional, the Mexican won the victory by unanimous decision, a quiet duel but the last 30 seconds gave us an exchange of blows worthy to remember.

Number 1)  Héctor ‘Macho’ Camacho

The fight called boxing renovation because in many years a fight generated as much expectation as this Julio Cesar defended the WBC super lightweight title at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

A fight that gave a great show of blows, movements but what stood out was that it was one of the first events to have a large audience without being a football game. The rematch for Macho never arrived but the friendship between both was sealed.
