“I am the king of gypsies and this is Mexico’s Independence Day. Come on, Mexico!” said Fury, who entered the ring with a sombrero and dressed in the colors of the Mexican flag. The British beated the Swede at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, keeping the World Boxing Council belt.
During the third round, Fury suffered a deep cut over the right eyebrow, since then, he was in danger of being stopped and actually the fight stopped briefly in the middle of the sixth round since blood flowed from his right side so the ring doctor could inspect Fury’s cut. But since he insisted that he could see, the fight continued.
In the end the British managed to win and see the cards on his favor “It was a good performance and I made 12 good rounds. Otto Wallin was a tough Swede. Blood, guts, heart and everything was shown tonight,” he said.
Fury improved his professional record to 29-0-1 and 20 knockouts, while Wallin lost the undefeated and finished with a 20-1 mark and 13 out of combat.
P.S. Tyson Fury’s cut needed 47 stitches to close.
